SALISBURY FAIRE PEP RALLY We just got a flyer from the Salisbury House to let us know directions and performers and all that good stuff about the faire, so I thought I would share it with you all since I have had a few e-mails about directions to the fairegrounds, which are called Water Works Park. And don't forget to swing by their web site and get the $1 off coupon! Quoted from their flyer: "While traveling I-235 westbound, exit at 31st Street, Des Moines. If traveling eastbound, exit at 35th Street (Des Moines, NOT West Des Moines), go south to Grand Avenue, turn left onto Grand Avenue and turn right onto 31st Street. From both exits, go south on 31st Street to Mahaska Pkwy (this street is gravel). Stay on Mahaska until you turn right on 31st Street again. This will wind around and take you to the Festival Grounds." If all else fails, stop at a gas station and ask them how to get to Water Works Park :) And since I have your attention, let me toot my own horn for a second.
