It's really quite amazing
how many things I've accumulated over the years...but each piece has a special
place in my heart...

WHERE DOES SHE GET ALL THOSE WONDERFUL TOYS?
by Willa, ATF Staff Writer
I've been meaning to do an article like this for months. When I go to
festival, I am inevitably stopped by several people to ask where I get
all of my nifty garb and accouterments. So, here you have it. We're going
to examine two photos of yours truly and we'll break them down to get
the nitty gritty details.

The photos. |

So let's zoom in *wink* and see the goods, shall we?
- Scottish hat from The
Scots Dragon. You'll find a lot of my belongings come
from them. Joanna and Don are great!
- Choker from Medieval
Madder (gift from JP!)
- My patented "orange rose of lust" that I have painted
on as often as I can.
- My Heartland
Wenches pin. This signifies that I am a member (and elected
Webwench) for the Midwestern division of...
- The International Wenches
Guild. Wench #596 at your service.
- Cleavage provided by the gods above.
|
- Ring purchased from Pendragon
Silvercrafts (my official stalker ring).
- Ring from Monumental
Brass Rubbings (JP has one that matches).
- Jinglies from Inner
Heart Productions. They are normally on my ankle, but
I have grown to like it right there.
- Mug hand-personalized by The
Wooden Owl. The front says "Mistress Willa"
(in case I ever drink so much that I forget my name) and the bottom
says "WWW", the logo for the Washer
Well Wenches. Oddly, if you drink from it with your left hand,
it says, "MMM".
- Emerald ring given to me by JP. Purchased at Helzberg
Diamonds ;)
|
- Tassel necklace from Avon
(Christmas present from my mom!).
- All of my poofy shirts (so far) have been made by me. This one
is 6 years old!
- Bodice expertly crafted especially for me by The
Scots Dragon.
|
- Hard leather pouch (and my mug strap) made by Rathburn's
Den of Antiquity.
- This tapestry pouch is very sentimental to me. It was made by
Danicia de Lontra
especially for me in 1999 when I attended Scarborough
Faire with her.
- The basket I carry my roses in (or JP's tripod if we don't have
roses with us) was purchased on mega sale at Hobby
Lobby.
- My sandals were purchased at Kmart
on sale. (Notice a trend?)
- My infamous fox tail (because I'm a foxy lady, of course) was
purchased from J
& L Trading (I adore that man!).
- All of my skirts (I think I have 5 or 6 of them I use regularly)
are made by me. I even wrote
an article on how to make them!
|
So there you have it. Oh, and you haven't seen my bloomers here, but
those were made by me, too. That's one of the perks of historical costuming.
I can make all of my garb except for that blasted bodice. But The Scots
Dragon does it so well that I've given up trying!
I hope you've enjoyed this in-depth look at what's on Willa...
